At the German Chamber of Commerce (GCC) North China’s New Year Reception on 13 January 2026, Melchers Group was recognised with the Long-Term Membership Award, celebrating 25 years of active partnership with the Chamber. Only ten member companies received this exclusive award.
Dr. Mike Hofmann, Managing Director of Melchers China’s Consumer Business Unit, accepted the award that acknowledges our enduring support for GCC and our contribution to strengthening China-Germany business relations. Reflecting on the award, Dr. Hofmann stated:
“This recognition underscores our long-standing role in fostering China-Germany economic relations. We remain committed to using our resources and experience to help businesses on both sides identify and capture new opportunities.”
The event marked the first visit to China by Dr. Helena Melnikov, CEO of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), since assuming office. Her keynote address was followed by a panel discussion titled “What lies ahead for German Business in China”. It provided a platform for German enterprises operating domestically in China to exchange insights, experiences, while also exploring future cooperation opportunities.
